I am also using this card for Danni's dreams flutterby challenge #81. http://www.dannisdreamscrafts.blogspot.com Thanks for looking and happy weekend to all.

Creative Card Crew Challenge

Vintage style Christmas card.
This is my entry for Creative Card Crew challenge. Theme this week is scallops. I hope my border edge qualifies as scallop. I have used image from the net, stamps are Inkadinkado, Tim Holtz.
I also used cuttlebug snowflake dies which have been inked and distress stickled. Im not sure if I like the quickutz swirl on this card though, the colour and just overall look doesn't look as good in pic as real. I used a bit of perfect pearls on swirls.
Flowers are Prima and my border punch is Fiskars. Thanks for looking..

A few holiday pics

Hi there..

I thought I'd post a few pics from a recent holiday to Cook Islands. We had a wedding to attend and decided to stay a couple of extra nights. The weather was not excatly warm. Quite windy infact and apperently it rains a bit in Rarotonga where we were based. But it was nice anyway. Made a trip to Aitutaki and a few smaller islands where Survivor was filmed. Aitutaki was nice and the water was stunning colour despite the somewhat cloudy weather. My husband went in for a snorkle in the cold water..Last pic is of the massive cocktail, the Island Girl..I'm sure there was about 1 & half litres of cocktail in that glass..=)

Vintage Card

A vintage style card again. I definetly don't fit in to a category of any particular style I think, except oddball maybe =). And I quite like it that way. For this card I used an image from the web, grungeboard, crackle paint, quickutz swirls and yes some more MS butterflies. Roses are from enthaily. And the beautiful corner stamp is from Stempelglede.

Allsorts Challenge

Here is my entry for the Allsorts challenge which this week asks to use snowflakes. I cut out my snowflakes using cuttlebug and some foil from the inside of a chai tea tin. I wanted to try and make the whole card look kinda frosted over and therefore you couldn't see text or print very well, but it didn't quite turn out like what I had imagined in my head. I think the text could be a bit more visible.

initially and made a few but then settled for these. Stamp is from Stamp It.

Just a little Hi and my entry for card-a-licious #27

My entry for card-a-licious challenge 27 . I have used my new Cosmo Cricket mini deck paper. These decks of paper are so cool, I love the slightly retro feel to them.
This paper is from the Early Bird deck.
I also used some grungeboard and Kaiserkraft flowers that I inked with fired brick distress ink because the colour was not right. I punched out some mini flowers from a colourful paper bag and added a stick rhinestone to the middle of flower.

Birthday Card

I made this card for my nephew who is turning 16. I'm not sure if I should have put the 16 on the card or not. I have to admit I struggle to make cards for boys/men. I also wanted to leave all sentiments off the front and just have them on the inside of the card. I have used Basic Grey paper as always, some grungeboard stars which I have inked and added some perfect pearls to.

Another card

This weekends card

I have used Basic Grey paper, Stamp It stamp, Enthaily roses and a bit of grungeboard from the Tim Holtz grungeboard packaging. I still need to add a sentiment to it but I have omitted that til I know which part of the world I'm sending the card to and which language I need to use. The image has been embossed with sparkly gold embossing powder.

Another Whiff Of Joy card

Here is another Whiff Of Joy card. Really out doing myself this week with 3 cards. But I'm so excited about getting Copic markers that I had to do some colouring. I got 12, which were a belated b-day present. I'm not really sure these kind of images are me though..Now I know why people rave on about copic markers. They are fantastic!! I also used my tombow and Stampin Up ink to colour the image.
I used Basic Grey paper which I really love, stamps are Hero Arts, Stempelglede and Whiff Of Joy of course. Swirl is quickutz. I have also used perfect pearls and liquid pearls but the sheen is not coming thru very well in photo. Must learn to take better photos of my cards.
